 Crazy Bones is inspired by a game played in Ancient Greece called 'Astragals', where children played a similar game using sheep's knuckle bones. This ancient pastime is also known as Tabas. Crazy Bones is a modern version of this game, played with characters molded from plastic. There are hundreds of individual characters, each character having a unique face and name. Other than the collectible nature of Crazy Bones there are multiple games that can be played with the figurines.
Gameplay is as follows:
Traditional: players take turns flicking pieces at their opponents gogos, points are scored depending on how many of their opponents gogos are knocked over.
On-Line: players throw pieces towards a line on the ground, the closest to the line wins.
Bowling: players line up multiple pieces and 'bowl' a further piece at them.
Bomber: players place multiple pieces in a circle on the ground, then throw a further piece at them in an attempt to knock them out of the circle.
Gogo's Crazy Bones Series 1 features 80 Crazy Bones, each individually numbered. Each Common Crazy Bone features 5 different color schemes. There are 15 "Uncommon" Crazy Bones & 5 "Most Wanted" Crazy Bones which are rare and much harder to come by.
Gogo's Crazy Bones Series 2: Evolution features 80 Crazy Bones each available in 5 different colors. Approximately half of the Crazy Bones in this series are translucent & embedded with glitter.
Gogo's Crazy Bones Series 3: Explorer features 80 Crazy bones available in 5 different colors. This series features metallic painted Crazy Bones setting it aside from the previous series'.
Gogo's Crazy Bones Series 4: Power Crazy Bones Series 4 will feature 90 crazy Bones, 40 "Common" Crazy Bones, 40 Metallic Crazy Bones & 10 "Most Wanted" Crazy Bones. This set also adds a collectible card game to the mix with each pack containing 2 bones and two cards (often 1 normal figure, 1 metallic figure, 1 normal game card, and 1 metallic card) with a chance of a 'Most Wanted' figure or card replacing one of these. The Most Wanted cards have the character name suffixed with a "-W", and have a laser-style finish.
Gogo's Crazy Bones Uncommon & Most Wanted Series 1 & Series 4 of Crazy Bones feature "Most Wanted" & "Uncommon" Crazy Bones, which are much harder to find. These "Most Wanted" & "Uncommon" crazy Bones are usually a variant of a pre-existing Crazy Bone in the series. |
