Details (Description): The Animated Gimli Maquette has a base designed to interconnect with the base of the upcoming Animated Legolas Maquette. The Animated aesthetic produces a Gimli with large dog-eyes and an overall more fluid look. Heaped with leather and mail and armed with twin axes, Gimli looks fairly suited to the task of battling against the likes of the Animated Ringwraith Maquette. Initially disdainful of elves, Gimli nevertheless joined the Fellowship alongside Legolas. The movie made friendly competitors and fencing partners of the two disparate characters, which allowed for a much less stoic and much more loquacious and comic relief-ish version of Gimli. Overall, Gimli was portrayed as an idiosyncratic but unwaveringly heroic character with a self-styled honorable manner accentuated by his loyalty to Aragorn.
